Rick Casper here. I am a diamond gemologist, and I have a student in the Gemological Institute of America who hopes to do what I do, too. As a full-time gemologist, I try to squeeze as much time blogging about my job and what keeps my passion for precious stones burning all these years. I also share tips such as how to effectively qualify diamond buyers. Part of my job is to educate clients about what to look for in real diamonds and the precious stone’s difference from other gems.
When I am not busy honing further my technical skills, you can find me rapping along my favorite hip-hop albums from the ‘90s and early 2000s. Or you can find me watching anime. Whether series or movie, Japanese animation has become a stress reliever for me.
